And it was only thanks to the advice of a mentor that I got then, that made me believe enough to try this – that I got to actually realise the reality of the situation. That actually I did have a voice, and people did want to hear from me.
You see, one of the things is… You might look at people that are more successful than you, that have better results than you, that seem more confident than you, that don’t seem to worry as much as you do about getting on camera. All that kind of stuff.
So, you see all that – and it can make you have this feeling of, “Why would anyone want to listen to me?” But the reality is that different people are all at different stages in life… On their journey to wherever they’re going, and where they want to be.

And the moment you have enough belief in realising that – at least to give you enough confidence to take that first step, to put that first video online, do that first Facebook Live, that first written post sharing something… That’s the moment things start getting easier.

That is something I’m going to talk about this morning – speed.
The truth is, technology does move fast. But I can’t begin to tell you how much it is true – that the same principles that applied when I made my first affiliate commissions online ten years ago, still apply today.
The same principles, the same set of things that have to be done. Yes, the tools which we use change. The technology that can assist us, advances and changes. But the principles still remain the same.

  • Traffic generation – number one.
  • Lead acquisition – building your list, basically.

Now those products could be yours, if you’re a product owner, creator, or a service provider. Or they could be someone else’s, as an affiliate, if you do not have those yet.

I started out as an affiliate marketer. Why? Because to be honest, I didn’t have the experience or knowledge to create my own stuff early on. So I promoted other people’s.

And basically generates interest in those, via the wonder that is ‘applications’. So, people fill in applications – that’s the second part.
The third part is those applications flow through to my team, who then process the applications. They get on the phone and have a one-on-one phone call, answer every question those people have, make sure they’re a good fit. If they’re a good fit, we open a place and we get them started.
And then there’s like an ‘ascension’ process from there. How we can further assist and help by giving even more value to those clients and partners.
We went through all of this. And then we introduced and spoke about traffic generation. So, all in all, a very exciting start to the two-part coaching.
Now today, we do the second part of this mini coaching class. We’re going to talk about the two other things that our Certified Partners have to do, which I won’t spoil now. I’ll probably tell you about this in another Drive.

“Thank you everybody. It is awesome to be here. And the presentation today is to essentially share with you the culmination of probably over a decade of testing.
The 4 Letter Word That Can Grow Any BusinessI’m somebody that, from a very young age, has been very entrepreneurial. And that has led me from some interesting, failed offline businesses… into the online internet business world.
Despite all the different things that I try, and that I test… there’s constantly one thing that continues to increase response, and grow the businesses that I either own or am involved in, or advise on.
And that’s what I want to share with you today. The story is actually going to revolve around cheese – so we’ll come back to that in a short moment.
But just before we do, I want to just make sure everybody’s clear… for those of you that perhaps do have businesses, or are looking to have businesses.

There Are Only Three Ways To Grow Your Business

1. The first of which is to get more customers, okay? It stands to reason that, if a customer comes through the door of your business, or visits your website, and purchases… that you are growing that business.
2. The second of which is to sell more to the customers at the point of sale. We’re all familiar with walking into a supermarket or a store, and you’ve got those items conveniently located just for us to grab at the checkout.

3. And the third of which is to actually have those customers return and buy from you again at a point in the future.
Now incidentally, as we look at these three ways to grow a business – and there really is no other way, ultimately, to grow a business other than this… What I can tell you from the different businesses I’m involved in, is typically…

The Bulk Of Any Business’s Profits Will Actually Be Made Once You’ve Got The Customer

…by bringing that customer back to buy more and more products.
But despite that… none of that can obviously happen, unless you have customers in the first place. So when I look at building a business, I always look at those three areas.
First of all, how do I get more customers? Secondly, now I’m getting them, how do I sell more to them? How do I deliver more value to that person, so that an exchange of value takes place?
TEDx BoltonBecause that’s ultimately what business is about. I’m giving you value, you’re giving me some value back.
And so one of the key areas, and one of the most difficult I would say, and one of the most expensive parts of any business… is to actually acquire that customer in the first place.
To get a stranger… somebody that’s never met you, never seen your brand, never come across your products, never seen your website, never seen anything to do with you… To have that person actually trust you enough to part with their value, their money, and give it to you. Especially when there is so much competition from most businesses that you’re competing with.

This reminded me of when I first got started in affiliate marketing.
The done thing was; if you were going to promote and support a product that was being launched… meaning you were going to promote it to your audience. Then generally speaking, launches were for a seven day period, give or take. Some were five, some were a bit more.

Ways To Make Money Online - The Four Core Components


Making money online doesn’t have to be as hard as what a lot of people make it.
There is an easier way for somebody brand-new, to start making commissions and start earning money on the internet. And that’s what I’m going to share with you today.

Let Me Just Take You Back To 2004

I discovered, whilst working a seemingly poor paying bar job in a pub here in England, literally working six days a week, very unsociable hours on very, very little pay.
That lead me to go in search for; how could I make more money…

And obviously this whole journey of discovery into making money online, and online marketing began.
And geez, talk about getting sucked down the rabbit hole like Alice in Wonderland! I went down that that rabbit hole and a whole new world opened up to me. And that world was exciting…

That World Gave Me A Buzz

I saw such potential… I felt hope… I saw the prospect, the opportunity, of a financial freedom… of becoming more than what I was… of living more than what I was living.
Having more of everything, like more money, more freedom, more time.

And It Didn’t Happen

I lost over and over again. Until 2008 landed and I was literally on the brink of having to give it up… Not through choice, but through lack of options. I had no other resources left, so it seemed.
Sixty plus thousand dollars in debt, five credit cards, all but one maxed out (had about a thousand dollars left on it). I was living back at my mom’s house. I was in my mid-20s.
I had two bank loans that I’d taken out over the course of those years. One to clear the credit cards (then I used them all again!) And then one just to give me some extra money, and then I went and spent it all again.

And So I Was Living This Lie…

Because nobody in my life knew I had these debts, because I was afraid, I was so ashamed, I was scared. And I didn’t know really what to do.
Then October turned around and I ended up going to an internet marketing seminar for the first ever time. Met a few people. Saw some people that were living like I wanted to live.

Met Some Real Internet Marketers – Successful People

And with one of them, I used my last bit of money on the credit card to actually join his coaching program. Got him as a mentor, and started attending these weekly live calls, learning, studying, applying everything he taught me.
And over the weeks and the months ahead, I started to make money and I started to turn things around.

Nine Months Later I Quit My Job

…which was at a construction company by this point. And the following year made over half a million dollars in sales from one website.
But it was a long, long journey. Was it worth it? You bet it was!!
Now my life is unrecognizable to them. But still, this industry is plagued by the large majority of people that cannot make it work, that cannot make money, that cannot succeed.
And if I look back as to why I couldn’t succeed… well there were many reasons. But I’m gonna just pinpoint one key reason right now…
